SMART ACCESS
>> Digital access control for monitoring and controlling access permissions

Prevention of unauthorised access
The prevention of unauthorised access to security areas is usually overseen by staff, but this round-the-clock access control results in high costs and doesn’t always guarantee one hundred percent security.
Our SMART ACCESS solutions with wrong-way detection offers high cost-saving potential, fulfils security requirements and automates security processes.

Digital access control for protected areas
Access Control controls access permissions to protected areas. ID card readers or remote control triggers our Smart Gates to open briefly for access, and an optional sensor monitors correct access and can trigger a visual and audible alarm if required. The included cellular modem guarantees remote access for system maintenance.
If required, the Smart Gate can have one, two or four leaves. Two opposing Smart Gates can be triggered to create wider access.
The following triggers can open the Smart Gate:
- Remote control: for easy opening of the Smart Gate
- RFID cards or chips that allow access to multiple people
- Third-party card readers, e.g. airport ID cards (e.g. for PRM services)
Ensuring correct customer flow
In our wrong-way detection, one or more Qmetrix Ranging Sensors (QRS) are placed on the ceiling or a door and used to identify people and the direction in which they are walking. If those walking the wrong e.g. in a one-way system, a visual and/or audible alarm is triggered. An additional option is a local or remotely controlled external alarm (e.g. in the terminal operations centre) that can also be triggered.
Process optimisation of security controls for staff and crew
The security checks of staff, suppliers and crew members that accompany the access control system are subject to special regulations. A certain percentage of all persons must be checked with the metal detector, while the remaining persons are only checked for explosives.
The randomiser decides in real time whether a person should be screened for explosives or at the metal detectors.
PROCESS
Our algorithm randomly determines whether a person needs to go to the metal detector or the explosives test. A traffic light system indicates which way the person needs to go and wrong-way detection sensors determine if the person is going in the right direction and, if not, a visual and audible alarm is triggered.
RANDOM ALGORITHM
The algorithm is unpredictable, cannot be manipulated and fulfils the set quota in the long term. It is permanently logged and available for analysis. The Screening Randomiser is approved for this use by the German Federal Aviation Authority.
